Caring for Teakwood

1. Regular Dusting: Wipe the wood surface regularly using a slightly damp (semi-dry) microfiber cloth. Avoid using a cloth that is too wet to prevent water from pooling.
2. Wipe Spills Immediately: If any liquid or coffee is spilled, wipe it immediately with a dry cloth in the direction of the wood grain. Do not let it air dry to prevent white water rings.
3. Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use multi-surface cleaners or detergents containing harsh chemicals, as they can strip away the teakwood’s natural protective oils.
4. Periodic Maintenance: For indoor use, apply a thin layer of specialized furniture wax or teak oil every 6–12 months to keep its natural golden hue vibrant and prevent a dull appearance.

Caring for Cushions

1. Vacuum Regularly: Clean the fabric surface using a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment once a week to remove crumbs and dust trapped within the fabric fibers.
2. Treat Spots Immediately (Do Not Rub): If a spill occurs, gently blot the area with a clean paper towel or cloth to absorb the liquid. Rubbing will only spread the stain and push it deeper into the foam.
3. Washing the Fabric Cover: Unzip and remove the fabric cover, then wash it manually using a mild detergent (such as baby soap). Dry it in a shaded area to prevent the colors from fading due to direct sunlight.
4. Ensure It Is Completely Dry: Never put the cover back onto the foam if either is still damp. Trapped moisture will trigger mold growth and cause unpleasant odors.

Extra Tips for Longevity

• Remove Cushions During Wood Maintenance: When applying oil or wax to the teakwood, make sure to remove all cushions first to avoid accidental, permanent oil stains on the fabric.
• Regular Rotation: Flip or rotate the seat cushions periodically so that the foam firmness and light exposure remain evenly distributed.
